Impact Evidence

What you receive when you buy Carrot credits — retirement certificates, public audit trails, and reporting compatibility.

Each purchase generates a set of auditable evidence — designed to support ESG reporting, external audits, and public disclosures.

Retirement certificate

When you retire credits, your organization receives an on-chain certificate with:

  • Unique identifier of the retired credit
  • Date and time of retirement (immutable timestamp)
  • Volume in metric tons of CO₂ equivalent (or recycled material)
  • Credit type and methodology applied
  • Link to public audit trail — traceable to the physical event of origin

The certificate is permanent and verifiable by any third party via Carrot Explorer.

Public audit trail

Each credit has a chain of public, traceable evidence. An external auditor can verify:

  1. The physical event that originated the credit (material type, weight, facility, date)
  2. The dMRV verification applied (which rules were executed, which passed)
  3. The certificate issued (GasID or RecycledID)
  4. The credit minted and its transfer history
  5. The retirement with beneficiary identification
